SThere are 3 distinct forms of cubicles and enclosures plus the disabled/senior citizen application.
- Freestanding shower cubicle. This is the type that is not attached to any walls or only one which the cubicle is fixed to and where the appliances are.
- Shower enclosures using one/two walls. Usually fitted in the corner of a room and can be square or rounded. Most common.
- Shower door. Where the shower is in a small recess where there are two opposing walls to fix to.
- Disabled/senior citizen. Usually designed with level access and half height doors to allow for the assisted showering.
